How we can find new fabric painting ideas anywhere around us, – if only we keep our eyes open!
Since I started fabric painting I over time have developed a strong interest in patterns.
Based on that interest I automatically pay more attention to patterns printed or painted on different objects around me. And, whenever I like the colours or the patterns I see, I take a photo and save it in a special folder on my computer.
I was shopping at a large Swedish furniture retailer 🙂 when I a saw colourful pattern on a dress and I took a photo.
Some weeks later, when I lacked inspiration for my next fabric painting project I went through my photos and chose the dress as an “idea supplier”:
