No need to buy expensive stamps – Pick leaves from the trees!
Dear friends of Your Colourful Mind,
Last weekend, I had a completely free afternoon and decided to do some fabric painting.
I always have some blank t-shirts in my cupboard and chose a white one with long sleeves for this project.
Usually, my mind is full of ideas for new projects and I am happy as soon as I find the time to start working on one of them.
This time it was different: I had many questions but no answers: What could I do? Which technique should I apply, which colours should I choose? Absolutely no design idea crossed my mind. 🙁
It was a very easy job to organize the stamping equipment. I took the dogs out for a walk and kept my eyes busy, watching out for interesting material.
Some leaves I picked up from the ground, others I picked from trees. Soon I had a plastic bag full of nicely “designed” stamping tools. At home I started experimenting on an old tea towel and quickly found my favourite leaf-stamps.
The stamping then was easy and real fun!
And I was fascinated how nicely the patterns of the leaves were transferred to the fabric!
